Gem Maze New
Walk a 3D maze and find the hidden gems by ear: each gem plays its own chime, louder and quicker as you get closer, coming from the passage you need to take. Ten levels from a 4×4 tutorial to 18×18, four difficulties, an optional chaser that hunts you, brief spoken announcements, a leaderboard, and a no-visuals mode — screen reader, keyboard and low vision friendly.
Play NowFind the gems by ear
Every gem chimes from the passage you need to take, louder and quicker as you close in. Signs, paintings, plants and coloured carpets are landmarks you can see or hear.
Something is hunting you
Turn on the chaser and from level 2 a shadow follows the shortest route towards you. A low hum and a heartbeat come from its direction, louder and quicker as it nears.
Made to fit you
Ten levels, four difficulties, per-category speech and sound-effect switches, a no-visuals mode, and a leaderboard when you sign in.

How to Play
- New here? The first time you press Start, the game offers a tutorial: a guided walk through moving, turning, the START star, following a chime, and reading junctions, in small hand-built rooms. It is always there under Settings too.
- You start in a dead end with a gold START star behind you. Somewhere in the maze are gems on pedestals; each plays its own chime, louder and quicker as you get closer and coming from the passage you need to take. Find them all in as few steps as you can.
- Keyboard: ↑ and ↓ step forward and back (hold ↑ to keep walking), ← and → turn a quarter turn, or use W A S D. P or F describes where you are. Esc pauses.
- Phone: swipe up on the picture to step forward, down to step back, left or right to turn; keep your finger down after an up or down swipe to keep walking. Tap the middle of the picture to hear where you are.
- Ten levels, from a 4×4 maze with 2 gems to 18×18 with 10. Finish a level to unlock the next; each difficulty keeps its own progress. One game is a run: keep going with Next level and each level adds its points, 100 × level × (shortest route ÷ your steps), with bonuses for Hard, Expert and the chaser, plus 25 points for every gem you pick up — those you keep even if the chaser gets you or the clock runs out. The leaderboard ranks your best run.
- Difficulty (Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert) never changes the maze size: it changes how many extra passages there are and, with the chaser on, how fast it hunts you. From level 2 the optional chaser sets out from the START star a few seconds after you and follows the shortest route towards you; you hear a low hum and a heartbeat from its direction. If it reaches you, the run is over and the next game starts from level 1.
- Timed is an optional extra challenge: every level gets a time limit worked out from its shortest route and the difficulty, and running out ends the run. Timed runs have their own leaderboard, so nobody has to race who doesn't want to.
- How far away you can hear a gem grows with the level (6 steps on level 1, up to 12), or set it yourself, 5 to 20, under Settings › Sound.
- Sign in from Settings to post your points to the leaderboard and keep your progress across devices.
Accessibility
- Playable entirely by sound: gem chimes and the chaser are positioned in 3D audio (headphones recommended), and a no-visuals mode hides the picture altogether.
- Optional text-to-speech gives brief announcements — a gem collected, an empty pedestal, the start square, signs and landmarks, carpet colour changes, junctions, bends and dead ends, the chaser — each one switchable, with a matching list of sound effects you can mix and match.
- Junction cues come from each opening in turn, so you hear which ways are open.
- Screen readers get the same brief announcements through a live region, and a full description of your position on demand. On phones, five invisible buttons over the picture (forward, turn left, where am I, turn right, back) can be found by touch with TalkBack or VoiceOver.
- For low vision: high-contrast bricks, coloured carpets by area, a "fill the wall" size for the landmarks, ceiling lights, dark and light themes, adjustable text size, and smooth or instant camera movement.
